Considering individual lessons for your child or yourself?
In traditional lessons, students receive individualized instruction from an experienced music educator. Lessons are available for all ages on violin, viola, cello, bass, harp, piano, flute, clarinet, saxophone, horn, trumpet, trombone, and voice.
Because curriculum is individualized for each student, it is possible for people of all ages to enjoy the benefits of traditional lessons at the Symphony School, whether beginning instrument study, progressing in instrumental skills, working to prepare for an All-State or college audition, or simply enjoying the satisfaction of renewing past skills and learning new ones.
Lesson length:
Beginner/recreational: 30 minutes
Intermediate: 45 minutes
Advanced/college prep: 60 minutes

Location: Determined by instructor. Most lessons are held at the Symphony School’s current location, Zion Lutheran Church, Hiawatha.
Individual Lesson Tuition:
Monthly fees are based on 35 weeks of instruction divided into nine monthly payments. Lessons may begin at any time during the school year. Fees will be pro-rated, start date pending.
30 minute: $21/lesson, $82/month, $735/year
45 minute: $31.50/lesson, $123/month, $1103/year
60 minute: $42/lesson, $164/month, $1470/year
