This annual event features string students grades 6-12 in grade-level orchestras from the Cedar Rapids metropolitan area performing on stage at the Paramount Theatre. The Symphony School works with area string educators to provide this opportunity for local string students. The 2009 Festival location is still to be determined. Please contact your school orchestra director for additional information.
The Coe College Honor Band program offers a supplemental band experience for more than 100 select musicians from elementary through high school in the Cedar Rapids area. The Symphony School is proud to partner with Coe College to present this program.
Students are required to audition for membership each fall. For an online and printable application/registration form, rehearsal and concert schedules and audition requirements, please visit the Coe College Bands Web site at www.coe.edu/bands.
